Box 773987
Steamboat Springs, Colorado 81639
Re: Stipulations Response - Updating of Grassy Gap Permit Application Sid io
Dear Mr. Sherman:
The Division has reviewed the permit updates as submitted by Mr. Tommy Raye on
February 19, 1985. This review was done by Dan Mathews and myself. We
appreciate Rockcastle's timely submittal of this information.
The following are several inadequacies or problems noted with the updates:
1. The April 21, 1984 overburden analyses and correspondence regarding
sampling procedures should be included.
2. Three copies of the alluvial valley floor (AVF) maps should be sent to
the Division.
3. Three copies of an updated hydrology sampling map should be submitted
showing the required surface, alluvial, and groundwater monitoring
sites.
4. Table 5, page III-29 and Table 3, page IV-6 have contradictory depth of
topsoils for the 34E,F soil type. This discrepancy should be resolved.
I will be pleased to discuss any of these issues should you have a question.
Sincerely,
Candace M.
