Industrial Activity Description <br /> The SR-11 Mine is a Uranium/Vanadium mine which is operated by Cotter Corporation. <br /> Total permitted acreage for the mine site is 11.3 acres and 1.72 acres have been disturbed. <br /> Other operations which ceased prior to MLRD permitting requirements are covered by this <br /> stormwater permit. The disturbed acreage for these areas including the access roads is 6.67 <br /> acres. The mining activities with the potential to affect stormwater discharge at the Cotter <br /> Corporation Western Slope Operations C-SR-II Mines consist of the following: <br /> a. overburden & waste storage areas (mine dumps) <br /> b. access roads <br /> C. topsoil storage areas <br /> d. vent hole <br /> 2. Site Map <br /> Included as Exhibit A is a portion of the Slick Rock Quadrangle USGS map showing the <br /> location of Cotter Corporation's Ike#1, Ike#1A, Ike#2, Ike#3, Ike#4, Radium 8, Brighton, <br /> Tomboy, Mercantile, Emma Lou and Beth Mine sites. <br /> Included as Exhibit B is a site map of the Cotter Corporation's Ike #1, Ike #lA, Ike #2, <br /> Ike #3, Ike #4, Radium 8, Brighton, Tomboy, Mercantile, Emma Lou and Beth Mine sites <br /> showing the areas of concern for stormwater runoff and the control measures to be taken <br /> to reduce potential stormwater pollution. <br /> 3. Description of Potential Pollutant Sources/Material Inventory <br /> The potential pollutant sources for this site include the mine dumps, topsoil storage areas <br /> and vent hole. These areas are described in more detail. below. <br /> Overburden & Waste Storage Areas - C-SR-11 is the Dawson's Ike Mine, also referred to <br /> as the Ike#1 Mine. This 1.72 acre mine dump was reclaimed in 1991 and there is no stormwater <br /> runoff potential. The Ike #lA mine has an old abandoned portal. <br />
