The DBMS is the Colorado State
agency that issues reclamation permits for mining operations. We concentrate on the technical aspects of
environmental controls on mining operations. Our process is separate from any type of Use by Special
Review process conducted at the County level.
To date, the DBMS has not received an application for this property so we cannot comment on the plans or
possibilities for this property. If an application is filed, we will follow our usual procedure for processing
the application which involves public notice and the chance for public comment on the aspects of the
operation that we have jurisdiction over. For more information regarding our jurisdiction and process,
please refer to our website at http://mining.state.co.us.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 303-866-3863.
Sin rely,
azl B.
