C-80-003
Dear Ms. Beattie:
The Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division regrets to inform you that we are
unable to provide additional written evaluation of bond related information
collected during the last five years without a written application for bond
release. The next few months will be very busy in this office, as we try to
staff up to pre-Legislative budget cut levels, perform our lengthy annual
field hydrology inspections, and service operator's permitting needs before
winter. We may be able to accommodate an application from Yampa Mining for
Phase I bond release this fall, depending on how quickly it is submitted and
how late freezing temperatures and snowfall preclude an inspection. In
addition, I would recommend that you refer to specific inspection reports
related to bond release-type inspections for use in your negotiations with H-G
Coal Company. Lastly, a summary of vegetation data collected during the July
inspection will be included in the September inspection report.
I apologize that I can not be of more help at this time.
Sincerely,
~w~
fay
Catherine W.
