Inc. wishes to begin final reclamation of the Stuutyside Pit. its north
side, the pit is adjacent to Mesa County's Durant Pit (M-78-32~). As noted during the Sunny ide Pit site
inspection eazlier this year, there is a small ridge of material in the area where the permits a adjacent.
During inspection, we discussed my proposal to remove this material when the Sttnnyside Pit s reclaimed.
I believe you mentioned it is allowable to remove material common to adjacent permits if [her is
agreement between the permittces and Division approval.
Removing the ridge of material az proposed will affect an area of approximately 150 by 400', as
shown on the attached sketch. After the ridge is removed, material from above will be pushe downward
and smoothed over the common slope. This will eliminate any conflict between the permit lamation
plans of Mesa County and Parkerson Constructioo. The area will be reclaimed to a condition satisfactory
[o [he Division. The final mclaimed slope will be more natural in appearance than one reclai cd under
two reclamation plans.
Mesa County has indicated its agreement with the proposal, as evidenced below by .Bob
Carnten, Divisiat Director of the Mesa County Road Department, and Parkerson Constructio hereby
requests the Division's approval of the plan. Please contact me if you have any questions or mments.
Yours truly.
Alan Parkerson, Vice President
Parkerson Construction. Inc.
The proposal of Parkerson Construction, Inc., to remove and mclaim the ridge of
between the two permit areas, as described above, is acceptable to Mesa .2qunty,
By: / ~tober[ Carmen
1 Division Director,
Mesa County Road
