SHELTON, Director <br />DATE: February 11, 1986 <br />T0: Seneca II File <br />FROM: Steve Renner <br />RE: OIL/GAS DRILLING @ SENECA II <br />to <br />On February -2; 1986 Vern Pfannenstiel of Peabody phoned Steve Renner to inform <br />the Division of proposed Oil and/or Gas Drilling activities at the Seneca II <br />Mine site. <br />This activity (presuming only one hole) is to take place west of the 004 <br />pond. Areas which may be disturbed by this activity include; previously <br />undisturbed vegetation, possibly an old road. This will occur a road to the <br />drill pad will pass through both reclaimed and previously undisturbed areas. <br />In a phone conversation with Vern Pfannenstiel, Steve Renner noted that <br />Peabody is totally liable for disturbance on the mine site. <br />Also noted: <br />1. Runoff from the drilling area must be contained in the 004 pond or <br />alternative sediment control must be established. <br />2. This is not a small area exemption. <br />3. This is a technical revision. <br />4. There will be a bond increase. <br />5.
