This limits total disturbed acreage <br /> to 70 acres and open pit operations to 8 acres in <br /> the GEC permit area. <br />9/16/77 First MLRD inspection of the site by Rade H. Orell. <br /> There was no mining occurring at the time, and <br /> there was a reference to the difficulty that the <br /> company's assumptions of some obligations in <br /> reclaiming previously disturbed lands. <br />11/1/78 GEC issued an NOV by the Board for mining outside <br /> the permit area. <br />2/9/79 Permit Amendment submitted. <br />9/13/79 First National Bank of Oklahoma City Letter of <br /> Credit No. S 4077 for $584,000. <br />7/17/80 First National Bank of Oklahoma City Letter of <br /> Credit No. S4212 for $324,560 to replace 54077. <br />9/17/80 Division receives fully executed Letter of Credit <br /> for $324,560 for Bond 54212 from the Firs t National <br /> Bank and Trust Company of Oklahoma City, for Permit <br /> No. 77-48. <br />11/18/80 Division returns letter of credit S 4077. <br />2/82 Out Card placed in the Minerals files indicating <br /> that Permit No. 73-4 is lost. <br />The Canon Coal bonds are problematic. We never returned the Canon <br />Coal bonds. Debbie Mulloy talked with Financial Indemnity a year <br />ago, when she was trying to determine the status of this bond, and <br />they were unable to find it in their records. We did not sign off <br />as accepting the bond, but there had been a sheet of paper stapled <br />over the signature lines. <br />Debbie has a call in to CIGNA, who appears to have bought out the <br />Insurance Company of North America, but she is on vacation until <br />next Tuesday. Dave Shelton signed the acceptance line on the bond <br />five years after the date it was executed, on 8/24/80. <br />Unfortunately, this bond has no legal description, and is limited <br />to $15,000, total. As we are unable to find the file, we have only <br />Dr. Corley's recollections of the areas of disturbance, and I am <br />aware of approximately acres. <br />I am a little confused by the $25,000 GEC bond dated 4/14/76. It <br />is not clear that GEC had a permit at the time. There is no permit <br />number associated with it, but the policy number H4312804, was used <br />on a bond amendment 7/15/77, for Permit 77-48. This bond may have <br />
