The intent of an SAE, as stated in Rule 4.05.2(3)(b)(i), is that the disturbed
area within the SAE be small, as compared to the total disturbed surface area of the minesite. The
coverfill stockpile azea is somewhat large in azeal extent and will continue to be added to in the
future. And, as we had discussed in the field, there is an area in the southeast comer of the
coverfill stockpile azea where a sedimentation pond could be located.
Please consider this addition to the sedimentation control plan. The Division would appreciate a
timely response.
Sincerely,
~~~~~~~
Joseph J. Dudash
Environmental Protection Specialist
cc: Jim Stover, P.E. (J. E.
