The Division has divided this letter into <br />two sections: the first part is a brief history of this permit <br />application; and, the second part is a reply to each of the <br />concerns/comments raised in Mr. Jim Peterson's letter of November 14, <br />1983. The Division believes including a brief review of the history of <br />this application is needed to alleviate some confusion that may exist as <br />to why the permit application was approved on October 27, 1983 when you <br />thought it would not be brought up for consideration until November 17, <br />1983. <br />I. Histor <br />1. July 14, 1981 - Original permit application was received by the <br />Division and August 26-27, 1981 was set as the date for Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board consideration. <br />2. August 25, 1981 -Letter from operator's consultant, Mr. Larry <br />O'Brian, requesting continuance of Board consideration to the September, <br />1981 meeting. Continuance request was approved by the Board. <br />3. September 22, 1981 - Letter from operator's consultant requesting <br />an indefinite continuance of Board consideration. Indefinite continuance <br />request was approved by the Board at the September, 1981 Board meeting, <br />4.
