• -! ~ ~~ ~
.. . i~'
Mr. Stan lJeedon -4- November 17, 1983
9. Page 2, Question 7 - Minimal compaction will occur since the final
land use of this site will be pasture. If the area was compacted it
would be almost impossible to revegetate the area to the proposed final
land use. If the financial warranty has not been released and the
proposed final land use changes from pasture to housing, the operator
would have to submit an amendment to its permit to allow for this change.
10. Page 2, Question 5 - The approved financial warranty for this site
was set by the Board at $99,000 for a maximum land disturbance at any one
time of 57.69 acres. This breaks down to X1,716.00 per acre.
11. Page 2, Question 6 - The law (specifically C.R.S. 1973,
34-32-116(1)(f)) addresses the requirements for re vegetating the area
back to the cover amount similar to surrounding areas. The Division has
no jurisdictions authority to specify the density requirements for a
reclaimed area.
12. Page 2, Question 7 - The Division has no jurisdictional authority
in this area.
13. Page 2, Question 8 - Exhibit F incorrectly specified slope
gradient. The slopes will be graded to no steeper than 4h :1 v.
The Division hopes this letter clarifies both the reason the permit was
issued prior to the initial notice date and the concerns/comments
addressed in the City of Lakewood's letter. If you have any questions,
feel free to contact this office.
Si cerely,
Peter V. ~ Connor
Reclamation Specialist
PVOC/tlh
cc: tor. Mike Leidich
Doc.
