I will try to answer your questions and concerns in
the order you asked them
The additions of building 60-61 do not omit the need for both reclamation material and screening as
required by 7e@'ersoa County Hoard of Adjustments. They were concerned about views from
FTighway 93 at ell angles or I80°. Buildings 60 and 61 help, but do not provide this type of
screening.
As for weeds aad top soil, the Rocky Flats Area is extremely short of growing fines, you are basically
growing in rocks. As for weed control, we are ranchers and farmers and have been involved with
weeds aad growing for 130 years. In fact recently we spent $10,000.00'spraying weeds that were
imported by the railroad. The material we plan to import should be subsurface material and not
weedy material. The berm on Highway 93 is similar material.
Much of the previously stockpiled material has been moved out and wiCl continue to be used off site.
In fact a great deal has been exported to your Rocky Flats site over the past 10-12 years or so. This
stockpiled material is not suitable growing medium.
As for traffic, we want to be good neighbors and will continue to cooperate with you on tral~ic
concerns and safety.
~Y~
RECEIVED
CCM/kab
CC: Steve O'Brien, Environment Inc.
JUN 0 2 1999
ENVIRONMENT INC.
