Computer requirements to use the DBMS doeament imaging CD (or DVD): 1. A program called QuickView will be copied to the CD and must be installed on your computer in order to use a DBMS imaging CD the first time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the software. 2. The CD or DVD that you purchase >~ be in the D: drive. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension. There needs to be an iamge viewing application for .tif files on your co5rgtuter that will handle single and multi-page documents. Oa a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" of "Paint' and they do not waurk with QuickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes withpre-Windows XP computers does work. DBMS has detem5ined that a program called "htanView", which can be downloaded from hfanView.com, does work with QuickView. After downloading "hfanView", it needs to be configured as your default .tif viewer. DBMS does not support or endorse this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responstbility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as "Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows". Instructiona• 1. Insert the CD inro your computer. Allow time for the CD to install. 3. EjeM the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the commuter. 5. You are ready to view the Permit Files. NOTE: A program called QuickView Autoruq which runs the t2ltickView setup program, has also been copied to this CD. If the Autonm program does NOT work you will need to manually install the QuickView program Lrstnutiona for manually installing QuickView are available upon request with the CD or can be viewed at www.minin¢.state.co.us. The Permit Pile document Images can be viewed in the reception uea of the DBMS office or they can be purchased on a CD or DVD. The CD/D VD purchase coat rnvers the Nme and labor o[ making the CD. DBMS cannot provide computer related support.
