~..~
ot~crrr~
To acquire additional blast monitoring data points to irrQrove confidence
level as determined by linear regression analysis of sub,)ect data. A
total of 14 points are now in program storage for the oEC blast operations
at Florence, Colorado. A maxiimun peak particle velocity of 1 inch/second
is the imposed criterion.
This second round of data were achieved. using 40 pounds of charge (ANFO)
per delay. `il~e first round (January 28, 1981) used 25 pounds per delay.
DISCUSSION
A second seismic survey of OBC's troutine blasting operations was con-
\.+~
ducted at the Florence site cv1 February 11, 1981 for the 4:00 p.m, shot.
Four VME Seismographs were employed for the shot, and the consultant
supervised the location and operation of the instruments. The data
obtained follow:
VME Location Peak Part. Scaled
Record (Dorohester) Distance Velocity Distance
267049 Pond 500 ft. ,O9"/Sec 79
267050 Diesel Tank 800 " .06 " 127
267051 hbtcar Controls 900 " ,06 143
267052 Ice machine 1100 " ,04 " 175
The above four e~irical points are in addition to the six original
points obtained on January 28, 1981. An additional four points have
been obtained on January 30, February 2, February 3, and February 9,
.~ 1981. All 14 points are tabulated on the enclosed data sheet.
