INTRODUCTION
This document is the approval package prepared by the Colorado Mined LanA
Reclamation Division (the Division) for Permit Renewal Nn. 1 for the
Sunland Mining Corporation (Sunland) Apex No. 2 Mine located in Rnutt
County (see Index Map).
The original proposed decision and findings of compliance were completed
by the Division in March, 1983 for the purposes of bringing the Apex
No. 2 Mine into compliance with the Colorado Permanent Regulatory
Program. Permit C-81-011 was issued on May 26, 1983 to Sunland for a
five-year term.
On November 20, 1987, Sunland submitted Permit Renewal No. 1 application
fora second five-year permit term upon the expiration of the current
permit nn May 26, 1488.
