DEVl, or
RE: Spillway Riprap in Sedimentation Ponds C, D and G
Dear Sandy:
A requirement of a CNLRD October 31, 1980, inspection of Energy
- :•lines No. 1 and 2 was that the emergency spillways for sedimen-
tation ponds C, D and G be completed by January 1, 1981. The
purpose of this letter is to update you on the status of this
project.
Both sedimentation ponds D and G have the emergency spillways
cut and the riprap material in place. This marks the comple-
tion of the construction of these ponds.
As you know, sedimentation pond C has been substantially com-
pleted; however, this pond still requires a very small amount
of riprap to be placed in the emergency spillway. This job
will only take approximately four hours, but due to difficult
access we have chosen to wait until a small front-end loader
can be utilized so as to minimize any additional disturbance
to the pond area. This riprap will be in place by January 9,
1981, completing the construction of pond C.
Please contact me if you require any additional information.
Sincerely yours,
J ~
James M. riffin
Senior Engineer
Mine Planning
JMG/lcy
r~
