Computer requirements to use the DAMS dorntpent imagipg CD (or DVD): ~~~ ' 1. A program called l2uickView will be copied ro the CD a~ must be installed on your computer in order ro use a DAMS imaging CD the first bare. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the soRware. 2. The CD or DVD that you purchase >~ be in the D: drive. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension. There needs ro be an image viewing application for .tif files on your computer that will handle single and anilti-page documents. Oa a Windows XP carnputer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer" or "Paint" and they do not work with QuickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes with pre-Wi~owa XP computers does work DAMS has detenniaed drat a program called "IrfanView", which can be downloaded from hfanView.cotn, does work with QuickView. After downloading "IrfanView", it needs ro be configured as your default .tif viewer. DAMS does not support or endorse this softwaze and the licensing and registration arc the user's rosponstbility. There are many other programs that work as well, such as "Enraging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows". Instru one: I Ltaert the CD loop your computer. Allow time for the CD ro itratall. 3. Eject the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. 5. You arc ready ro view the Pemtit Files. NOTE: A program called QuickView Autonm, which tuns fire QuickView setup programs, has also been copied ro this CD. Tt the Auroim program does NOT work, you will need ro manually install the tZttickYiew program Lsstructiona for manually installing tjuickView are available upon request with the CD or can be viewed at www.ntiniaa.atate.co.us. The Permit File document Image can be viewed la the receptlop area of the DBMS office or thry cau be pprchased oa a CD or DVp. The CD/DVD pprchase cost rnvere the tlau sad labor of making the CD.
