The Division is hereby providing notice of the need for Rimrock
Coal Company to renew Permit No. C-89-074 for the Rimrock Coal
Mine. This notification is being provided pursuant to Sections
34-33-109(7)(d) of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act
and 2.08.5(2) of the Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Board for Coal Mining.
Complete applications for renewals of a permit must be filed with
the Division at least 180 days before the expiration of the
existing permit. As your permit is due to expire on December 12,
1995, your application for permit renewal must therefore be found
complete by the Division no later than June 15, 1995.
In order to ensure timely compliance with applicable regulatory
requirements, the Division recommends submittal of your application
for permit renewal to our Offices no later than June 1, 1995.
Determinations of completeness of applications for permit renewal
are made by the Division in accordance with criteria described in
Sections 2.08.5 and 2.07.3 of the Board's Regulations.
