'+> `A <br />'~, e <br />RFr,~IVFQ <br />MAY 0 3 1996 <br />D;vsion of Minerals & Geology <br />May 1, 1996 <br />Colorado Department of Transportation Certified Mail <br />222 South 6th Street, Room 317 Article Number <br />Grand Junction, Colorado 81501 Z 739 153 809 <br />Re: Rule 4.20.2 Public Notice <br />Dear Highwaymen: <br />In accordance with Rule 4.20.2 of the Regulations of the Colorado <br />Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, Oxbow Carbon and <br />hinerals, Inc., owner and operator of the Sanborn Creek P1ine, is <br />required to comply with the following: <br />"The mining schedule shall be distributed by mail to all <br />owners of property and residents within the area above the <br />underground workings and adjacent areas. Each such person shall be <br />notified by mail at least six months prior to mining beneath his or <br />her property or residence. The notification shall contain, in <br />minimum: <br />(1) Identification of specific areas in which mining will <br />take place; <br />(2) Dates of mining activities that could cause subsidence <br />and affect specific structures; and <br />(3) Measures to be taken to prevent or control adverse <br />surface effects." <br />Oxbow Carbon and Minerals, Inc. has applied for a modification to <br />Federal Coal Lease COC-53510 for the addition of approximately 160 <br />acres in Section 1, T13S, R90W, is in the process of applying for <br />a Bureau of Land Management Right-of-Way for approximately 20 acres <br />in Section 12, T13S, R90W, and will soon apply for a revision to <br />Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology Permit Number C-81-022 to <br />include the lease modification and right-of-way. You have been <br />listed as an owner of record by Gunnison County in Section 7, T13S, <br />R89W, in the adjacent area. The private surface owners in Section <br />7 are shown on the attached drawing, and on a portion of the <br />property map to be included in the permit revision. <br />P O.
