No. 05-02421 <br />Sealing Plan for the <br />Abandonment of the Mine <br />Title 30 CFR 75.1711 <br />Dear Mr. Self: <br />This is in response to Eastside Coal Company, Inc.'s letter dated <br />January 9, 1995, concerning the sealing of the above-referenced <br />mine. Your plan has been reviewed by MSHA personnel and is <br />approved in accordance with 30 CFR 75.1711. This approval is <br />specific as to the method and materials, as outlined in your <br />submittal. It is understood that the mine shall be sealed in <br />- accordance with 30 CFR 75.1711-2. <br />The mine must be examined as required under Title 30 CFR, Subpart <br />D - Ventilation, on a pre-shift, on-shift, and weekly examination <br />basis, until the mine has been completely sealed. This MSHA office <br />must be notified in writing that the sealing of the mine has been <br />completed. Furthermore, upon final closure of the mine, the <br />operator shall file with this agency three (3) copies of the up-to- <br />date revised complete underground mine area and surface area maps <br />of the Subject mine.
