In
response to your questions;
To calculate the PLS/acre you are correct in multiplying purity
x germination then dividing by 100 to obtain a percentage. This
number is then multiplied by the bulk pounds of any particular
species in the mix to obtain PLS/lb.
(i.e., for Blue Gramma, 68.43 x 88/100) = 60.21X.
.6021 x 6.84 bulk lbs. in mix = 4.11 PLS/lb.
Also, as we discussed the seed tag was slightly mislabeled and the number
under "pure" was the percent of that species in the entire seed mix or the
percent of 35.48 pounds.
Sideoats Grama was in the seed mix at 1 t1PLS/Acre
substitution of Blue Grama for Sideoats Grama and
Western Wheatgrass should be fine given the small
PLS/Ft2 is 66+ which is in the ball park. Rule 4
some flexibility based on available quantity and
should inquire as to why the changes occurred.
~,pJ ~a

STATE OF COLORADO
but was not seeded.
