The following information covers the time period from October 28, 1997 -November <br />03, 1997. <br />General Construction Summary and Schedule <br />Base course placement was completed on the Ventilation Facilities (Shaft # 1 and #2) benches. Base course <br />placement continues on completed road sections. Construction continues on the main sediment ditch and <br />chute and baffle structures adjacent to the Ventilation Facilities site. Rough grading of sediment pond SG- <br />l was completed and the slopes are being prepared for liner installation. Alignment, excavation, rough <br />grading and initial base course placement were completed for the upgraded access road from the substation <br />to the main Sylvester Gulch crossing (F Wall). MSE Wall A is complete. Weather was dry throughout the <br />reporting period. <br />Current Schedule <br />A gantt chart of the schedule and progress of general construction activities for [he project is not included <br />this week due to computer problems. Specific tasks of interest are as follows: <br />Upper Detention Pond In Progress Complete 11/11 <br />Pond SG-1 and Culvert CCW-IB In Progress Complete 11/l 1 <br />Water Tank Road Extension Indefinite Hold <br />Lower Sylvester Gulch Road Begin 8/27 Complete 11/07 <br />Base Course In Progress Complete I l/l4 <br />Miscellaneous Culverts & French Drains In Progress Complete 1 I/14 <br />
