DATE EVENT
December 7, 1988 Bear Coal Company, Inc. (BCC) submitted the
permit application package (PAP) under the
approved Colorado State Program to the
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division
(MLRD) for a permit revision for the Bear
No. 3 mine.
December 12, 1988 Colorado MLRD determined that the PAP was
administratively complete for public review
and comment.
December 22, 1988 BCC published in the North Fork Times the
fourth consecutive weekly notice that its
complete PAP was filed with Colorado MLRD.
January 17, 1989 The Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and
Enforcement (OSMRE) received the PAP.
April 13, 1989 Colorado MLRD approved the PAP.
April 19, 1989 OSMRE received BCC's submittals amending the
PAP.
April 24, 1989 OSMRE received Colorado MLRD's final
Decision on the PAP.
May 1989 OSMRE recommends that the mining plan be
approved.
