Computer requirements to use the DBMS document imaging CD (or DVD): 1. A program called (lmiickView will be copied to the CD and must be installed on your computer in order to use a DBMS imaging CD the first time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new insmllatiom of the software. 2. The CD or DVD that you purchase »»~ be in the D: drive. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD. 3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension. There needs to be an image viewing application for .cif files on your computer that will handle single and multi-page documents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs are called "Windows Picture and Fax Viewer' or "Paint" and they do not work with lZmiickView. Tbe Imaging Viewer that comes withpre-Windows XP computers does work. DBMS has determined that a program called "hfanView", which can be downloaded from htanView.com, does work with QuickView. After downloading "hfanView", it needs to be configured as your default .tif viewer. DBMS does not support or endorse this software and the licensing and registration are the user's responsibility. There are many other programis that work as well, such as "hrraging Preview" and .`Imaging for Windows". Ina oo 1 Insert the CD into your computer. . -Allow time for the CD to install 3. Eject the CD from the computer. 4. Reinsert the CD into the computer. 5. You are ready to view the Permit Files. NOTE: A program called QuickView Autonum, which runs the QuickView setup program, has also been copied to this CD. If the Autorun program does NtYf work, you will need to manually install the QuickView program Instructions for manually installing QuickView are available upon request with the CD or can be viewed at www.minine.state.co.us, The Permit File document images can be viewed in the receptiop area of the DBMS office or they cau be pprchased op s CD ar DV D.
