I have been paying the annual fees on my site in hopes that potential growth in the
Sterling area might bring demand for materials and justify the reclamation costs, this has
simply not happened. With the abundance of un-permitted gravel pits available in the
area and the material available in my pit not meeting current specifications for anything
other than bulk fill, I do not anticipate any revenue from the site. Since it has simply been
cheaper and easier to just pay the fees rather than deal with the reclamation, I have
elected to continue this process over the past nine years. However, if we could reach an
understanding about the States position on this area and conclude the matter, I could
determine whether it is more practical to close the pit permanently or continue to pay the
fees and encumber my heirs with this mess. Of course passing the problem on is how I
got here and it would not be my desire to repeat that activity. If I wait until Mr. Mount,
Mr. Squire and Mr. Intermill are all out of service, I will be attempting to work with
---individualsthat-have no-understanding-with-respect to-this-situation- - --- --- -
Please consider this matter and help resolve the issue if you can. Obviously, l need your
help to sort this out. Thank you and please get back with me.
Yours Truly,
~s2s~~'
Kym Schure
