Comparison will be made with results valid at the <br />90% confidence level, using aone-sided test with a 0.10 alpha error probability. <br />Diversity -Species diversity will be deemed adequate when the reclaimed lands <br />consist of a minimum of 2 cool season grasses, 2 warm season grasses, and 1 <br />forb. These species shall comprise at least 5% and no more than 60% relative <br />cover and shall consist of perennial, non-noxious species. <br />Woody plant density -The woody plant density standard for the wildlife habitat <br />(upland) is 1000 trees/shrubs per acre. The woody plant density standard for the <br />wildlife habitat (riparian) is 1,742 trees/shrubs per acre. <br />The Division proposes to approve the basis for this comparison. <br />D. The Division approves of the reference areas, which the applicant has selected <br />and received approval for under Technical Revision No. 44 (TR-44), based on <br />the requirements of Rule 4.15.7(3). <br />E. The reference areas will be utilized to determine revegetation success in a <br />manner that the Division finds acceptable 4.15.7(4)). <br />XI1. Fish and wildlife habitat is a planned post-mining land use. The applicant has <br />selected appropriate plant species and distributions to benefit fish and wildlife. <br />The reclamation plan calls for restoration of much of the rangeland along the <br />Purgatoire River to riparian vegetation. The refuse disposal area and pond 008 <br />will be reclaimed to upland wildlife habitat, which includes the establishment of <br />shrub species (4.18(5)(1)). <br />XIV. Protection of Underground Mining <br />No specific approvals are granted under this section. <br />XV. Subsidence Control <br />No specific approvals are granted under this section. <br />15 <br />
