LnnR
Division Direcror
The Division of Minerals and Geology, Inactive Mine Reclamation Program (IMRP) requests
approval to purchase construction for the following projects under a Purchase Order contract:
Solution Gold, Druid Mine, Permit Number: M-90-049. This cyanide heap leach operation was
permitted by the Division in 1990. The permit was revoked and the bond forfeited in June, 1994.
The Division is in the planning stages of the project. The construction, as presently planned, will
be accomplished in several phases: Phase I -Detoxification of the pond and Heap 1; regrade the
Heap 1, topsoil and revegetation. Phase II -Detoxification of Heap II, including capping
CERCLA material. Regrade and revegetate, topsoil and revegetate Heap II. Phase III - regrade,
topsoil and revegetate remainder of site. Remove structures and facilities.
Certain phases of the reclamation, particularly detoxification of the heap leach pads, must be
accomplished prior to winter snowfall to avoid possible overflow of the ponds.
Total Bond Amount: $147,124.14
Hawk's Nest Mine, Permit Number: C-81-016. This project includes the remaining reclamation
work to be accomplished at the Hawk's Nest Mine. The remaining work includes some
minor grading, topsoil replacement, seeding; sealing approximately 12 methane gas holes and
removal of four barrels of oil.
