Project <br />Name: Deserado Mine Expansion, 1991. This undertaking includes (described type, <br />scope. schedule, acreage, methods of undertaking): Western Fuels-Utah has <br />acquired an additional 360 acres of coal lease for their Deserado Mine, northeast <br />of Rangely_, Colorado. The additional lease is primarily for subsurface coal and <br />a minimal amount of ground disturbing activity is anticipated. <br />The BLM concurs with the Alpine recommendation that SRB3451 will not be <br />threatened by underground mining. Therefore the BLM recommends no further work <br />on site SRB3451 unless future surface disturbing activity threatens the site. <br />Due to the above federal undertaking and pursuant to the programmaxic Agreement <br />(2/6/87), the BLM seeks your concurrence in the following action(s): (Check as <br />appropriate, below): <br />R Determination of Eligibility <br />X Determination of Effect <br />Method of Treatment (if not avoided) <br />PART II.
