Mined Land Reclamation Division
January 2G, 1982
Page Three
I believe that supporting documentation has now been presented to
justify a sandsage density of between 200 and 300 plants per acre for
rangeland reclamation revegetation at the I;eenesbury t4ine site.
Pit B Snoil Well
Stipulation 3 of the Rider attached to our 'lining Permit requires
that we submit an acceptable plan to install a spoil well in Pit B to
monitor spoil water quality and quantity. Attached are three sets of
two drawings showing the design profile of the proposed v:ell and its
location within the Pit B area. The well design, diameter, and slotting
are the same as the other wells already accepted for water quality and
quantity monitoriny purposes. The location was selected to be in the
center of a structural depression in the Laramie bedrock formation. The
well will he drilled to bedrock and completed within one year following
replacement and leveling of spoil for that phase area, and suhsequent
monitoring will be according to Permit requirements.
Thank you for your recent com~nunicatinns updating us on the status
of the unresolved Permit issues and I hope this additional information
will contribute to the progress being made. .
Sincerely yours, _
r 'Ii
,_~.%
~': _~
Plilliam S.
