As we discussed today during meeting, this letter is being sent to request that the
following be added as a discussion item to the Boazd's agenda for the September .
meeting:
Lyons Pit, Permit No. M-1974-015.
As you aze aware, we have been operating this site responsibly since 1974. We have
been successful at obtaining several amendments to this pcrmit over time. Recently, the
Division determined that it did not have the original bond rider for the most recent
amendment. In checking our files, we did not have the original either. We requested a
second original, evidencing coverage since 2000, and hand delivered that to your offce,
which you now have and, in fact, pulled out of the file during our meeting this afternoon.
' Since the bond has been in place since 2000 and since we have not yet begun to remove
material from the new area, as we discussed, we will request that the Boazd grant our
final permit at the October meeting and allow ue to continue to move forward on this site.
