Dear Mr. McFarland:
On February 15, 1995, the Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) received a copy of a special
use permit aF~plication from C & M Aggregates to the Weld County Department of Planning
Services, for an asphalt and concrete batch plant.
The DMG reviewed your current permit and did not fmd an approval for the use of batch plants on
the Distel Farms permit area. Therefore, the DMG recommends that, prior to the installation of a
concrete and/or asphalt plant on this site, you obtain a technical revision from us approving such
activities. Otnaining the revision approval prior to conducting these activities will avoid any future
enforcement actions related to this matter.
The DMG also noted in the County application a copy of a DMG Succession of Operators form,
transferring the Distel Farms permit from C & M Companies to C & M Aggregates Limited, dated
January 17, 1995. DMG has not received this transfer as of February 27, 1995. Do you plan to
submit it to the DMG in the near future?
