Colorado Yampa Coal Company also notified landowners within and <br />adjacent to the mine permit area and other interested parties of the application for bond release. <br />as required by Rule 3.03.2(1). Colorado Yampa Coal Company is requesting release of <br />$200,000.00 <br />Colorado Yampa Coal Company is requesting Phase II and III bond release on 368.4 acres. Two <br />Blocks of acreage form what the pemrittee has deemed the Logical Management Unit (LMU). <br />The North Block consists of 122.6 acres located north of Routt County Road No. 33. The South <br />Block consists of 24.8 acres located to the south of Routt County Road No. 33. <br />The Division received no comments, written objections or requests for informal conference <br />regarding the bond release application. <br />The Division scheduled the bond release inspection to be conducted in the spring 1998, per Rule <br />3.03.2(2), due to snow covering the site at the time the application was received. The inspection <br />was scheduled to follow spring snowmelt. The bond release inspection was conducted on June <br />18, 1998. The inspection was conducted in accordance with Rule 3.03.2(2). Persons in <br />attendance at the inspection included Janet Binns of the Division, Mr. Rick Mills of Colorado <br />Yampa Coal Company (permittee and surface landowner) and Mr. Jim Chubrilo of the Colorado <br />Department of Public Health and Environment's Water Quality Control Division. Sub-surface <br />mineral owners (Colorado State Land Board and Rocky Mountain Fuels) were notified of the <br />inspection but no representative of either party attended the inspection.
