SIEGRIST
DATE: WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 23, 1991
SUBJ: MINED LAND RECLAMATION MEETING - DEL CAMINO,
*~***~*w*,r,r,r**,r*~*,r**t**,r*~****t****,r***~,t,r,rr,r,r*,r****,r*~**,r*****t,e~**,r*,t,r,r,r~*:r
1:30 P.M. - I met with Jim Stephens of the Mined Land Reclamation Board at
their offices and discussed the sale of approximately 175 acres to Weld County
and the need for amendments to the mining permits. Jim was to review all of
the information I had provided and, within the next several weeks, would get
back with me to propose the best alternative to separating the 175 acres from
our mining permits for the Adler I and Adler II.
His first response was as follows:
1. Siegrist should amend the Adler I property permit to eliminate any
properties from that application which would be south of the river.
2. Weld County would amend their existing mining permit on their property
to the east to include the additional 170 acres. Such amendment could
probably follow the same lines as the Mining and Reclamation plan that
Siegrist presently has on the two mining applications.
3. The question arises on the southern Adler II property, because a bond
was never posted, whether or not that permit should be amended or whether we
should reapply.
Based on the above information, it would be my proposal to Weld County that
they allow Nelson Engineering to coordinate the various amencbnents for the
benefit of both Weld County as well as Siegrist. Nelson had performed all of
the engineering and applications on both properties; therefore, it should be
relatively easy to make the necessary amendments, dependent upon a letter of
confirmation from Jim Stephens with Mined Land Reclamation Division.
ist
Pr
cc: Bruce Barker, Assistant Weld County Attorney
P.
