(HGTI), pursuant to Rule <br />4.30.] of the Regulations of Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board Division, of its intention to <br />temporarily cease operations at the Hayden Gulch Loadout, Pemut No. C-92-081. In support of <br />this notice of temporary cessation HGTI submits the following information: <br />a) The temporary cessation of operations is a result of HGTI and its affiliates not <br />having an existing mine requiring the use of a coal loadout, nor a need to modify <br />the facility to accommodate coal unloading, at this time. It cannot be anticipated <br />at this time when operations will be resumed at the Hayden Gulch Loadout. <br />b) Permit No. C-92-081 covers a total of 176.3 acres of which 97.1 surface acres <br />have been affected prior to cessation. No subsurface strata have been affected. <br />c) No reclamation of the surface area has been accomplished through the date of <br />temporary cessation. <br />d) Environmental monitoring activities required under Perrrtit No. C-92-081, as well <br />as semi-annual monitoring of surface water and groundwater, will continue during <br />the period of temporary cessation.
