Thompson Creek Mine Permit C-025-81 -Water Inflow Response
Dear Mr. Tate:
The Division received your letter of May 15, 1984 which indicated the status
of your plan to mitigate any depletions caused by mine inflows.
You propose to delay filing a plan for water replacement until 1985 to give
you additional time to collect depletion data. In the meantime you are
committing to pumping 17,000 gallons per day if a call on the water is made.
Your request is still under review by the Division. Prior to making a
decision the Division will wait for the results of your June mine inflow
study. Information from this study will be useful in assessing your proposal
to pump from the mine to replace depletions, since the original inflow study
was done during winter (freezing conditions).
I will contact you as soon as our review is complete.
Sincerely,
Robert G.
