Success standard.
Results of all analyses will be compared to the above-mentioned
criteria. If the criterion is met or exceeded for each parameter during
the last two consecutive years of the extended liability period, then
revegetation will be considered acceptable relative to that parameter.
Statistical comparisons between the reclaimed site and the developed
revegetation success standard which are required to meet the criteria
will be based upon the t-statistic at the 80 percent confidence level.
SUMMARY
Western Slope Carbon, Inc. feels that the selection of comparison areas
and sampling strategies presented herein, will fulfill its obligation to
establish success standards that Western Slope Carbon, Inc. will
eventually meet in reclaiming areas affected by activities at the Hawk's
Nest Mine to their satifaction and to that of the Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Division. Western Slope Carbon, Inc. reserves the right to
make revisions to this plan with prior approval of the Colorado Mined
Land Reclamation Division.
