Butler
Moffat Limestone Company
P.0. Box 37
Maybell, Colorado 81640
RE: Technical Revision to Permit No. M-82-141
Dear Mr. Butler:
I have reviewed your request fora technical revision to Permit No. M-82-141.
The revision includes elimination of the processing site in Section 3,
abandonment of the access road as shown in Exhibit A of the original
application, establishment of a new access road across Sections 9 and 15, and
establishment of two additional quarry sites. The revision application was
clear, concise, and well organized; the Division appreciates the effort put
forth by Mr. Butler.
Our only concern pertains to reclamation of the new access road. Item 3 of
the revision application states that the present roadway is approximately 12
feet wide and will be widened to 20 feet after production commences. The
Moffat Limestone Company should cortmit to reclaiming the new access road to
its original width of approximately 12 feet. Before the technical revision
can be approved, the applicant will need to demonstrate to the Division that
any concerns regarding reclamation of the new access road will be met
following completion of mining.
The decision deadline for the technical revision request is 'rebruary 22. If
you have any questions, please contact me at 856-3567.
Sincerely,
~~~/~`:~
Thomas A.
