We are gratified
that something is being done -the years of loss of our stock water, coupled with the
outright deceit and dishonesty of these people leaves one feeling outrage at the utter gall
and scoff-law activity.
The assertions to your agency that the airshaft was cased and cement injected
behind the casing to cure the escaping water were blatant lies. This caused us to feel that
your agency wasn't following the law. All this was caused by intentional deception and
dishonesty on the part of Basin.
Our water consultants tell us that there is a good likelihood that the water aquifer
is permanently damaged. Good practice dictates that the water bearing zones be
cemented, I want to point out to you that the conduct of the present lawyers and Holland
and Hart in the first case is scurrilous -these lawyers knew all the time that the shaft was
not cased because they never had any verification -they suborned perjury and
participated in presenting it to the Court.
Please include us in any proposal dealing with our property, mineral estate and
water.
Ve truly y~o_u_r_s_,_~} I
~/ ~"~
i Tatum
JTlah
Enclosure
129 North Commercial Street Trinidad, Colorado 81082
