Lang Diwsinn Dneaor RE: Oowe Flats Quarry, File No. M-93-041 - 112 Permit Application Approval with Conditions Letter and Financial Warranty Request Dear Mr. Banks: On February 23, 1994 the Division of Minerals and Geology approved with conditions your 112 permit application. On February 24, 1494 the Mined Land Reclamation Board approved the application with the conditions listed in this letter. The conditions to the approval are noted below: STIPULATION NO. 1 The operator will submit the final Cultural Resource Management Plan to the Division before any activity can begin on the site. STIPULATION N0.2 The operator will submit the results of the black-footed ferret study to the Division and obtain Division approval to proceed before any activity can begin on the site. STIPULATION N0. 3 The operator will not disturb the 4th Ridge area until acid-base neutralization tests are run on a representative group of samples from the pyritic rock material to be mined or exposed in this area. A separate remediation plan must be approved by the Division which prevents potential acid mine drainage before any activity can begin on the site. STIPULATION NO. 4 The operator will, before any blasting is done, complete pre-blast surveys for owners of adjacent structures that want surveys and may be affected by blasting at the mine in accordance with OSM requirements as presented in the "Blasting Guidance Manual."
