Miners Inc.
de-mobilized from site on March 11, 1994. The remaining work to be
conducted on site by the contractor is re-paving a section of old
State Highway 133 and possibly some minor earth work. This work
will be completed on or before May 15, 1994 when weather conditions
are more favorable.
The Division has a few reclamation tasks not included in the
contract with Miners Inc. for the Hawk's Nest Mine. This includes
removal of the coal stockpile, topsoil replacement and revegetation
of the Coal Silo area. This work will be put out for bid during
the Summer and Fall of 1994. I will contact you prior to further
reclamation efforts of behalf of the State.
If Mountain Coal Company has any outstanding concerns or questions
as a result of the Hawk's Nest project, please notify the Division
as soon as possible. I would like to take this opportunity to
thank you and the staff of Mountain Coal Company for your
cooperation during this reclamation project.
If you have any questions or comments please do not hesitate to
call me at 866-3567.
Si erely,
~~'"'~ s . l_1'7~
X Erica S.
