As part of that sampling I evaluated the site for evidence
of plant pests, diseases, and listed noxious weeds that could affect the re-established
vegetation at the Eastside Mine.
Reclaimed and revegetated areas of the mine were inspected by pedestrian means. I did
not identify any pests or disease conditions at the reclaimed and revegetated areas within
the mine site. Nor did I identify any single or combination of noxious weeds that had
negatively affected growth of the vegetation. No azeas that experienced any infestation or
blight condition were found during the inspection. No patches of noxious weeds were
encountered during the inspection. No actions related to treatment of noxious weeds at
the reclaimed and revegetated mine site are recommended or required at this time.
