Hall-Irwin Corporation is interested in having some additional material and
landscaping items for sale at the current facility. Currently there is an existing scale house and excess material
from [he mining operation is sold from this facility. [t is our desire to add the following types of items for sale:
decorative stone and other aggregate products brought in from other facilities, some compost to mix with top soil
already on the site, some landscaping mulching and other landscape items. The first year or so the current office
would be utilized for employees, however, in the furore, a modular type office would be required. Currently
there is one employee for this portion of the operation and we would anticipate four to five employees initially,
with a maximum of ten employees in the future. There is a septic system and restroom for employees in the
scale house and when the modular is added, it is anticipated that a new restroom would utilize the existing septic
system. This will be reviewed with the Department of Public Health and Environment to confirm this use. We
would anticipate traffic to increase by approximately fifty [rips per day. This would include trucks hauling
material in and out of the property, as well as public traffic. Reclamation of the property will be consistent with
the current, approved Reclamation Plan.
When we spoke on the telephone previously, it was my understanding that these uses would not constitute a
technical revision of our existing Division of Minerals and Geology 112 Permit. Please confirm [his in writing.
Thank you for your time and consideration regarding [his matter.
Please contact me if you have any further questions or if any further action is required. I would be happy to meet
with you, if necessary.
Sincerely,
- ~ ~~Cri~ ~ ~ ~~P~I
Julie Chester
Development Project Manager
Northern Region
pc: File
HALL-1 RWIN
C O R P O R A T I O N
3426 ar..
