(Qro>.M.>tal
1 Larry M. Reschke, PE, do hereby certify that the raconstrvction of the Cameo Refuse
Disposal Area 2 (CRDA 2) diversion ditch was conatnrcted in accordance with plans
submitted to and approved by rho Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology es
Technical Revision No, 24, CRDA 2 Diversion This design cart be found on Pages
CRDA2-l2 through CRDA2-13q, Appendix ] 3-2, Volume 3, of Pawderhorn's Miniag
and Reclamation Permit Application No. C-81-041.
Reconstruction of the ditch began January ?A, 1998 and was completed on January 22,
1998. The ditch was graded with both trepemidal and V-ditch configurations.
] lovations ware taken on the inside of ditch and ilia upper embankment on 50' intervals
along the 2200' of ditch to verify that the grade was within dcsigtr limitations and that the
outside embankrttent height was adequate to meet the design flow depth. Elevations were
taken at other locations between the 50' stations if there was any question about the grade
or embankment height. The resulting grades were generally 0.25% to 0.5°!° with a few
shoe intervals between 1.0°x6 and 2.0% (all stepper grades were within the maximum
allowable for that segment of ditch). There ware a few low spots (less than 9") that were
tell but care was taken to make sure the adjacent embankment was adequate to Kandla the
resultiag higher flow depth. These low spots will silt-into grade sometime in the future.
1,

1 ' Z.Z- jf~
