Proposed Decision
Pursuant to CRS 34-33-119(2), the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division
proposes to approve with stipulations an application for a permit to conduct
surface coal mining and reclamation operations at the Keenesburg Mine operated
by Coors Energy Company. The mine is located on state and private lands
within Weld County, Colorado. The legal description of the lands included
within the permit area is: Section 25, and Section 26, T3N, R64W, 6th P. M.
This decision is based on a finding that the application complies with all
requirements of the Colorado State Program as found in the Colorado Surface
Goal Mining Reclamation Act, CRS 34-33-101 et seq., and the Regulations
promulgated pursuant to the Act. If no reques~~or a formal hearing are made
within thirty (30) days of the first publication of the issuance of this
proposed decision, then this decision becomes final, and upon approval of
acceptable surety, the permit will issue and the permit application (and any
stipulations contained herein) will become a binding part of the permit.
-2-
