• CHRONOLOGY <br />King II Mine <br />Federal Lease COC-62920 <br />Mining Plan Decision Document <br /> <br />DATE EVENT <br />October 11, 2005 National King Coal, LLC submitted the permit application <br />package (PAP) under the approved Colorado State Program to the <br />Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology (CO-DMG) for a <br />permit revision for the King II, PR-08. <br />November 1, 2005 The State Historic Preservation Office provided its comments on <br />the mining plan. <br />November 23, 2005 The Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement <br />(OSM) received the PAP. <br />November 25, 2005 National King Coal, LLC published in the Durango Herald the <br />fourth consecutive weekly notice that its complete PAP was filed <br />with CO-DMG. <br />March 3, 2006 The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service provided its final consultation <br />comments on the mining plan. <br />June 5, 2006 The Bureau of Land Management provided its findings and <br />recommendations on the approval of the mining plan, with respect <br />to the Resource Recovery and Protection Plan. <br />June 15, 2006 CO-DMG issued a Proposed Decision to approve PR-08. <br />July 20, 2006 CO-DMG issued a Final Decision to approve PR-08. <br />July 24, 2006 OSM's Western Regional Coordinating Center recommended to the <br />Director, OSM, that the mining plan action be approved. <br />• <br />
