Box 837
Gunnison, CO 81230
Re: Vader, Rozman, and Gunnison Ready Mix Pits (Permits M-78-287, M-81-014,
M-77-023) Operators' Response to Sign and Boundary Marker Concerns
Expressed in Division Inspection Reports of 3/12/92
Dear Mr. Gregg:
The above-referenced response has been received by the Division. Thank you
for your prompt attention to the matter.
In regard to Problem 3 in the Gunnison Pit Inspection Report, I apparently was
premature in mentioning product stockpiles. The Division is attempting to
secure a policy decision from the Mined Land Reclamation Board in regard to
bonding for these. Until that decision is made, you may eliminate product
stockpiles from the requested amendment together with any estimated cost of
reclamation or attendant bonding. Modifying the reclamation plan in your
permit and increasing the bond, if necessary, to provide for reclamation of
the buildings and facilities in the office area, however, should still be done.
If you have any questions on the above, please contact me.
Sincerely,
James C.
