Mr. Earl E. Emery 4 Juae 19, 1991
CORPORATE QQALIFICATIONS AND E7L9ERIENCE
Several Remcor features will translate directly in to benefits for
CFSI. These benefits make Remcor uniguely qualified to undertake
this assignment:
• Remcor's corporate philosophy and organization emphasize
responsive, cost-effective services tailored to the needs
and concerns of the client.
• Remcor is a turnkey waste management company with strong
engineering and construction capabilities. This combina-
tion will provide CF&I with assessaents and conceptual
designs for closure that are based on appropriate, proven
technologies and current regulatory requirements. Concept
evaluations will be based on practical construction meth-
odologies and current construction costs.
• Remcor's organization structure provides, in-house, expe-
rienced practitioners in all disciplines (geotechnieal
engineering, civil engineering,•geohydrology, regulatory
affairs, construction management, and cost estimating)
required to complete.this project. This full in-house
capability improves the quality of Remcor's responses to
CFSI's needs and reduces both the time and the cost of
those responses.
• Remcor's key project staff has recent experience :Cn sludge
landfill closure, cap construction, dike analysis and de-
sign, and waste management regulations. This knowledge and
experience will be part of Remcor's input to the develop-
ment of conceptual designs. The result will be conceptual
designs that address the real issues with workable, cost-
effective, technically appropriate solutions.

Remcor'S corporate office is in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Remcor
employs 120 people at its Pittsburgh office, at a subsidiary
company headquarters (Loughney Dewatering, inc.) in New Milford,
Connecticut, and at sites currently being remediated. Remcor's
gross sales for the past three years have been:
• 1988 - $ 9,885,000
•- 1989 - $16,668,000
- • 1990 - $22,685x000.
11 summary of the Remcor projects conducted at steel manufacturing
facilities follows:
-RUtnnc sotuno„s we w~zuoous wurr ~•o•urs
•,~ ~i
