These benefits make Remcor uniguely qualified to undertake <br />this assignment: <br />• Remcor's corporate philosophy and organization emphasize <br />responsive, cost-effective services tailored to the needs <br />and concerns of the client. <br />• Remcor is a turnkey waste management company with strong <br />engineering and construction capabilities. This combina- <br />tion will provide CF&I with assessaents and conceptual <br />designs for closure that are based on appropriate, proven <br />technologies and current regulatory requirements. Concept <br />evaluations will be based on practical construction meth- <br />odologies and current construction costs. <br />• Remcor's organization structure provides, in-house, expe- <br />rienced practitioners in all disciplines (geotechnieal <br />engineering, civil engineering,•geohydrology, regulatory <br />affairs, construction management, and cost estimating) <br />required to complete.this project. This full in-house <br />capability improves the quality of Remcor's responses to <br />CFSI's needs and reduces both the time and the cost of <br />those responses. <br />• Remcor's key project staff has recent experience :Cn sludge <br />landfill closure, cap construction, dike analysis and de- <br />sign, and waste management regulations. This knowledge and <br />experience will be part of Remcor's input to the develop- <br />ment of conceptual designs. The result will be conceptual <br />designs that address the real issues with workable, cost- <br />effective, technically appropriate solutions. <br /> <br />Remcor'S corporate office is in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Remcor <br />employs 120 people at its Pittsburgh office, at a subsidiary <br />company headquarters (Loughney Dewatering, inc.) in New Milford, <br />Connecticut, and at sites currently being remediated.
