Caaany
Division Director
Natural Resou¢e Trustee
Computer requirements to use the DMG document imaging CD (or DVD):
1. A program called QuickView will be copied to the CD and must be installed on your computer in order to use a DMG imaging CD the
first time. Future use of this or other imaging CD's does not require a new installation of the softwaze.
2. The CD or DVD that you purchase must be in the D: drive.. A DVD drive will read a CD or DVD.
3. The CD will contain files with the .tif extension. There needs to be an image viewing applicafion for .tif files on your computer that
will handle single and mulfi=page doclmtents. On a Windows XP computer, the default viewing programs aze tailed "Windows Picture
and Fax Viewer" or "Paint" and they do not work with QuickView. The Imaging Viewer that comes with pre-Windows XP computers
does work. DMG has determined that a program called "L-fanView", which can be downloaded from 1rfanView.com, does work with
QuickView. After downloading "IrfanView", it needs to be configured as your default .tif viewer. DMG does not support or endorse this
software and the licensing and registration aze the user's responsibility. There aze many other programs that work as well, such as
"Imaging Preview" and "Imaging for Windows".
Instructions:
1. Insert the CD into your computer.
2. Allow time for the CD to install.
3. Eject the CD from the computer.
4. Reinsert the CD into the computer.
5. You are ready to view the Pemut Files.
NOTE: A program called QuickView Autorun, which runs the QuickView
setup ptogram, has also been copied to this CD. If the Autorun program
does NOT work, you will need to manually install the QuickView program.
Instmctions for manually installing QuickView aze available upon request
with the CD or can be viewed at www.mininn.state.co.us.
The Permit File document images can be viewed in the reception area of the DMG office or they can be purchased on a CD or
DVD. The CD/DVD purchase cost covers the time and labor of making the CD.
