Director <br /> Executive Director <br /> 12596 West Bayaud, No. 350 Michael B.Long <br /> Lakewood,akewood, CO 80228 Division Director <br /> RE: Ike No. 1 Mine, Permit No. M-77-451, Notice of Determination as Designated <br /> Mining Operation <br /> Dear Mr. Little: <br /> As a result of review by the Office of Mined Land Reclamation of your permit application, <br /> pertinent geology and geochemistry and recent inspection reports, you are hereby notified, <br /> pursuant to Rule 7.2 of the Mineral Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land <br /> Reclamation Board, that your Ike No. 1 Mine, Permit No. M-77-451, has been determined <br /> by the Office to be a Designated Mining Operation for the following reason: <br /> 1. Toxic-forming materials are or will be exposed or disturbed as a result of <br /> mining operations. Waste rock dumps are exposed to rain and snowmelt <br /> runoff possibly causing offsite contamination. <br /> If you agree with this designation, you are required to notify the Office by mail of your <br /> concurrence within 30 days of the date of this notice and to proceed to comply with the <br /> requirements of subsection 7.2.3 of the Mineral Rules.
