I understood that
Mountain Coal would repair the roads and fences and other
structures destroyed over the mined area.
The first thing: We need to address the repair of the fence on
our north boundary. That fence has followed the movement of the
land down the mountain about 100 feet, It will be necessary to
remove the fence then push out a new location for the fence and
reconstruct the fence. Our entire north boundary has been
effected by this situation. This fence has to repaired now the
cattle are on the mountain.
The second thing: We have had a land movement of about 80,000
tons of rocR which has fallen off the very top Jumbo Mowitain. In
the area we call Muffler Rock. The top of the bluff has broken
off 60 leet back of the original face and tons of rock has fallen
into the ravine at the bottom. It appears that there is no water
or anything else which would have effected this rock face. The
only know activity in this area is the subsidence from the mine
under the surface.
1t is important that you arrange and inspection immediately. I
had 11 guests watch the rock face deteriorate on the w<..ekend of
May 9, 10~ 11.
If y~ ha a any questions please communicate with me at 970-929-
626oibr D return mail.
also~ind a copy of a map for reference.
;i.
Mautz
