<br />___ _ The._Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Uncompahgre Field Office, and,the Grand Mesa-_l1n_com~ahgre____, ____
<br />Gunnison National Forests (GMUG), Paonia District, have prepared an environmental analysis for a
<br />proposal from Bowie Resources, LLC to conduct a 2D seismic survey on private, BLM USFS lands. The
<br />project area lies within portions of Townships 12 and 13 South and Range 91 West, 6`i' Principal Meridian.
<br />The EA and associated documents can be downloaded from the web at
<br />htto://www.fs.fed.us/r2/gmug/oolicy! under the heading "Mining", entitled Terror Creek 2D Seismic
<br />Survey.
<br />This EA is being released for the 30-day public comment period according to 36 CFR 215.5. The
<br />opportunity to comment on the proposal ends 30 days following the date of publication of this legal notice
<br />in the Defta County Independent. Only those who submit timely and substantive comments will be
<br />accepted as appellants of the final decision. Substantive comments are defined in 36 CFR 215. Also, for
<br />appeal eligibility, each individual or representative from each organization submitting comments must
<br />either sign the comments or verify their identity upon request. The Forest Service Responsible Official is
<br />Levi K. Broyles, Paonia District Ranger. The BLM Responsible Official is Barbara Sharrow. Comments
<br />may be submitted in hard copy through the mail, fax, delivered by hand, or emailed. Mail comments to:

<br />the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm., Monday-Friday, except for federal holidays. .
<br />Electronic comments will be accepted, and must be submitted as an IBM compatible format (e.g. ".doc,
<br />*.txt, *.rtf), or PDF. Electronic comments should be sent to:
